By placing an order via our website (tokyobikenyc.com), you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which tokyobike will not be responsible. Further information is available below in the delivery information section.
tokyobike retains the right to refuse any request made by you and you must be over 18 years of age. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming receipt of your order. This will be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. tokyobike retains the right to accept or reject this offer before processing the order. A contract between us for the purchase of the goods will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us, the prices have been verified, and the order has been processed and dispatched. An email will be sent confirming these arrangements.
Pricing and Availability
While we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. Pricing on the site does not include sales tax nor shipping. Regional sales taxes will be calculated based on billing zip code and charged where applicable. Shipping costs will also be charged in addition. Shipping costs are estimated at the time of the order and based on the shipping address provided. If you opt to have us arrange shipping to a local bike shop (your choice or our recommendation) for assembly there may be additional fees if said shop is not located in the same zip code provided. We will assess this difference and communicate any additional shipping costs to you before charging.
The website may contain typographical errors or other errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We therefore reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to refuse to fulfill any orders that you may place based on information on the website that may contain errors or inaccuracies, including, without limitation, errors, inaccuracies or out-of-date information regarding pricing, shipping, payment terms, or return policies.
Product Specifications and Suitability
Published product details, specifications and suitability information is the best available at the time. tokyobike shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part/s. We encourage you to ensure all spare parts are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications. tokyobike cannot be held liable for any damage caused by incorrect fitting or assembly. Please ensure that you have read your warranty conditions before attempting to install a part or otherwise repair an item. It is strongly recommended that any fitting or repair to a bicycle is carried out by a qualified mechanic.
Payment over the Internet can be made via our secure check out pages using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. Card charges will appear on your statement as “tokyobike". All prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars and do not include regional sales taxes nor delivery. Discount codes cannot be combined.
tokyobike Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with New York State Law.
Bikes are assembled to order and typically take 1-2 weeks for delivery at a cost dependent on your location. The expected delivery date will be stated on your order follow up email. As a customer, you have the option to pick up your purchase at a local tokyobike shop as identified in the checkout process, or have it shipped to your location. Shipping to your location includes the choice of 1) having it sent directly to you and leaving the organization of assembly and tuning up to you, 2) providing the name of a local bike shop you prefer to assemble and tune the bicycle, and 3) having us select a qualified bike shop in your area for proper assembly and tuning.
tokyobike has no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. We will do our best to get all orders sent out as quickly as possible. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time, just contact email@example.com with your order number. Occasionally an item may be discontinued. If you have placed an order for an item that has been made obsolete we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative if one is available.
Purchasing a bicycle online is a substantial investment and costly to ship. At tokyobike we want to do all we can to ensure you are making your purchase with as much information as is necessary and provide a positive shopping experience. If you have any questions or reservations prior to your purchase, we simply ask that you contact us by phone or email to help clarify anything for you. It is always far more cost-effective for all parties to deal with technical or fit inquiries prior to purchase rather than after.
If for some reason you are not satisfied with your tokoybike bicycle, you are welcome to return it within 14 days of pick up at your local bicycle shop or from a tokyobike dedicated shop. Please note, all bicycle returns incur a 30% re-stocking fee. All bicycle exchanges incur a 15% restocking fee. This fee represents all costs associated with returning a bicycle, inclusive of inspection, labor, warehouse handling, paperwork, and depreciation. Items must be in original condition to be eligible for a refund. Al items refunded will be returned on the original method of payment when the order was placed. Customers are responsible for all boxing and shipping costs and all bicycles must be returned with accompanying materials and parts. Any damage incurred during a return shipment is also the customer’s responsibility and will be factored into the customer’s final credit back. For your own protection, we recommend using a shipping method that can be tracked and ensured. tokyobike is not responsible for any items lost in transit. All helmet sales are final. All sale items are also final. For all other products, please contact us within 14 days from your purchase to request a return/refund.
tokyobike will cover bicycle assembly cost up to $100 at local bicycle shops. Any assembly charges over that amount will be the customer's responsibility. All little tokyobikes will be shipped directly to customer and professional assembly is recommended. For all purchases in New York and Los Angeles bicycles will be assembled and picked up from tokyobike flagship stores.
We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims. We will do our best to get all orders despatched as quickly as possible.
tokyobike uses the information we collect about you to process orders and provide our best service. We never sell or disclose any customer information to third parties and you can be confident your credit card details are safe. We send emails from time to time with product news and events but if you're not happy receiving them, let us know and we’ll remove you from our mailing list.
